About Serotonin:
Serotonin (5-Hydroxytryptamine), a biogenic amine, is a product of tryptophan metabolism. It is a well evaluated neurotransmitter of the central nervous system and can be found in high concentrations in the chromaffine cells of the intestinal mucosa, in the platelets and the serotonergic neurones of the brain.Central-serotonergic neurones influencephysiological functions such as sleep and the hormonal and cardio-vascular regulation. Increased serum levels can be found with malignant carcinoma, endogenous depression and schizophrenia.

Sometimes if the sample is other than human but your expected values from your sample fit perfectly to the curve, and you have enough sample to work with, we will recommend this more economic version.

The BA 10-5200 kit is designed primiarily for testing samples that vary not only in origin but also size. It can be used on any biological fluid. For example, if you have a sample from a Rat, be it brain homogenate, urine, plasma, or even bone, you can use this flexible solution to test your sample effectively. Thanks in part to the innovative extraction step, we make all samples equal, to put it in simple terms.
